May 9th, Victory Day in Russia is celebrated with the Victory Day Parade and The March of The Immortal Regiment. The March remembers and honors all those who fought and defeated the German Nazis in WWII, or The Great Patriotic War as it is known in Russia. We marched with over 1 million people who braved the wind, cold and rain, carrying large poster photos of relatives who fought in that war. I carried a large poster photo of my dad who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
