Today I created the project file, imported thousands of clips, photos, graphics, and archival film and photos.
I hope I finish this in time. May have to change the title of my new film to 11:59:30 – Thirty Seconds to Midnight the way things are spinning out of control.
I’m always asked, “when are you going to finish?” The honest answer is, “I don’t know.” But this morning I got the feeling I might finish by summer time….this year!
Imagine, Earth was formed some 4.5 billion years ago.
240 million years ago dinosaurs roamed the earth.
200 million years ago the continents formed
200 thousand years ago modern humans evolve
10 thousand years ago was the beginning of the agricultural era
5,500 years ago was the beginning of recorded history
2,000 years ago the Roman Empire was flourishing
5 centuries ago the white euros came to the Americas
240 years ago was the Declaration of Independence
75 years ago America dropped atomic bombs on Japan
2016 the world is teetering on the brink of extinction
Humans have the ability to end the human experiment on Earth either through nuclear power in any form, or because of the inability to mitigate global warming.
Bottom line cause: the global economic and industrial systems which are perpetuating war and the simultaneous destruction of the planet.
The only hope: a global awakening where the billions of people world-wide rise up and resist. It has already begun, but……we are running out of time.
